An R&D lab at the cutting edge

The laboratory has a key function in the development of new heat exchangers. A modern, well-equipped laboratory, combined with competent personnel, offers unique opportunities for verifying and testing the heat transfer capacity and strength of prototypes, for example.

 

Today, SWEP has its own fully developed and accurate laboratory. It has a number of facilities for testing the heat transfer capacity of single-phase and two-phase applications, flow distribution, strength, mechanical and thermal fatigue performance, etc. The functionality of exchangers can be both verified and documented by practical testing. Continuous, comprehensive and well-documented research means SWEP can guarantee the long-term performance of its exchangers.

 

SWEP´s laboratory carries out front-line research, often in inter-disciplinary groups - and frequently in close cooperation with customers. Among other uses, research data forms the basis for the calculation algorithms used in SSP, SWEP´s unique software developed for advanced heat exchange calculations. The most cost-effective product solution can be presented to the customer because the algorithms are based on data from actual research on all BPHE models.
