If you experience problems with downloading, installing or running SSP G7 please consult these instructions. We advice you to check any of these issues together with your IT support.
Code Signing Certificate
SSP G7 uses a highly secure SSL Code Signing Certificate from Comodo . This is to ensure our customers that SWEP supplies secure and trustworthy software.
Up to date
First make sure your Windows system is up to date by visiting the Microsoft Update site:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/
Proxy 407 Error
If you recieve this error then you are behind a Proxy server. To try and solve this check each of the following steps:
Update your system.
Make sure you have at least .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed. Restart your system after install.
If the above does not help try and implement this WORKAROUND from Microsoft.
Installation
Most installation issues are related to network setup and security settings. Check the following conditions on your system and your company network:
- Intranet, PROXY and ISA servers must allow the default Windows user credentials to connect to the Internet. Please consult the following document regarding Proxy setup and IE: sspg7proxy.pdf
- Any PROXY, ISA, Firewall, Anti-Virus/Spam software and network policies must allow SSP to run and also communicate using following addresses.
- HTTP/HTTPS ports 80 and 443
All of the below URLs and any sub addresses.
- https://webservices.swep.net/
- http://webservices.swep.net/
Your Windows installation and user account must be properly set up and allow installation of software as per standard Microsoft user account setup.
Registration
When registering SSP G7 you must be connected to the Internet. You must also make sure that you can recieve e-mails from @swep.net and that those e-mails are not blocked in any way.
Failure to comply with any of the above can result in a non-working SSP G7 installation.
Any solution communicated here is implemented at your own risk, preferably have your IT support assist you.
