Hydraulic and transmission oil coolers are the main applications in mobile machines and off-road commercial vehicles such as tractors, bulldozers, excavators, and harvesting machines. Our smaller units with AsyMatrix® technology are state-of-the-art here, combining heat transfer from highly viscous oil with a low pressure drop that enables less powerful pumps to be used in the cooling circuit.
In engines and transmission test cells, the cooling demand can both be high and rapidly variable. This is very demanding because a quick transient response requires the system to have a low hold-up volume. Our brazed technology has advantages here thanks to high capacity per unit volume and its ability to maintain the engine coolant temperature very accurately over a narrow interval.
