SWEP launches the B9 brazed plate heat exchanger for hot water heat pumps

On February 14, at the HVAC Tokyo exhibition, SWEP officially launches the B9 brazed plate heat exchanger. The B9 is optimized for super-critical CO2 operations.

The single-wall B9 is developed for manufacturers of hot water heat pumps, who use super-critical CO2 gas coolers. The B9 is designed to operate at pressures up to 140 bar and has a capacity range up to 11 kW.

The compact B9 heat exchanger delivers high-pressure capacities using environmentally friendly refrigerants. The AsyMatrix® plate pattern improves heat transfer efficiency and decreases the water pressure drop, ensuring a high COP and low pressure losses.

Adam Dahlqvist, Segment Manager for heat pumps says that the B9 is an excellent complement to SWEP’s product portfolio for the hot water heat pump market; “The B9 is environmentally friendly in many ways with its economical material usage and design optimized for energy efficiency and environmentally friendly refrigerants”.
